Being able to write an interesting article is one thing, but when combining it with good writing skills and also optimizing an article can have a better effect. Some people may think just by writing an article and distributing it you will get some benefit from the search engines, this is true but why not take that effect to the highest potential? In this article I will discuss some beginner tips on writing an article by optimizing your keywords for a greater effect in article submission.
Before you begin writing your article you want to decide which keyword or two keywords you are looking to promote? After that has been decided you can choose the topic of your article based on that keyword. Some people make the common mistake of writing an article then using anchor text in the resource box that have no relation what so ever about the content of the article. Even if you only mention that keyword a few times as long as the subject of your article relates to those keywords that will make a big difference.
When writing your article you do not want to put too much effort in trying to input your keyword into the article as this can often lead to over optimization and also the article itself will not sound original. Over optimizing is often done by people because they want to push to promote a keyword, but this is not necessary anything over 2 % of the article content for any keyword is too much. Another misconception people have is they have to use the exact keyword phrase within the article as they will use in their anchor text for the resource box. You do not really have to do this as long as you have part of the keyword it will still help you. For example if you are trying to promote the keyword “American Car Sales” but only use car sales in one sentence this is fine. Although if possible you can use that keyword if it will fit into the article wording.
Another focal point is the article title which can be very important in most cases. When you make your article title do not try to make a very basic title, for example only use your keyword “American Car Sales” if you make an article with a title like this I highly doubt anyone will read it. Instead make something more creative like “Will American Car Sales ever make a Comeback”? This leaves the reader an idea what the article will be about and also has your keyword in the title. Another mistake people make about the title is using a title that has no reflection on what the article is about, if your article is about Dog Breeds but use a title about dog food obviously this is the wrong choice.
In review just use common sense when writing articles and take the time to write them keeping in mind which areas are important to use your keywords and having content that relates to them.

How to get your Press Release in Google News
There are a few ways you can get your press release to show up in Google news. By having your press release in Google news not only gives your site higher authority but also makes it look more professional, along with many other benefits. In this article ill discuss a few tips on how you can get your press release to show up in Google news and additional Benefits.
For those not familiar with press release promotion, it is a perfect way to headline a new product launch or any important news you have about your business or website. So if you have either of these obviously you want the word to get out for more traffic and sales. By having a well written and optimized press release will not be efficient by itself. You also need to make sure you are submitting the press release to authority PR websites.
By creating a well written press release it is important that the press release is at least 750 words and you try to cover one single subject as covering multiple subjects’ kind of defeats the whole purpose of a press release. Before you write your Press release you have to decide which keyword or search term you want your press release to get listed in Google for. Once you have decided the keyword it is best to use that keyword somewhere in the press release title, and as some PR websites allow hyperlinks also use that keyword as a hyperlink. Lastly you should try to have a keyword density of the word you choose to be around 2% and no more than 3%.
Moving on to which sites you should submit your press release to, there are quite a few authority press release sites and by submitting to these if your press release is a well written and optimized normally Google news will automatically cache your press release from that authority site and you will then see your press release in Google news. Another important thing to keep in mind is to submit your press release in the morning as it is more likely to be read in the morning. Newdesignworld.com is one press release that I have noticed gets listed in Google news quite often.
There are quite a few benefits of being listed in Google news, first your search engine rankings for the keyword that you have chosen if normally improved, even if it is temporary this will bring in a boost of traffic. Along with that depending on the amount of sites you submit your press release to you get additional backlinks. Normally if you have an article listed in Google news depending on the keyword you are using you can expect a good boost in traffic for about a week, that’s why a press release is a great way to promote your website or new product.

Improving Directory Submission Approval Tips
Using directory submissions for link building and promotion have been around for quite a long time and it still one of the techniques that are still used. Although this link building technique isn’t as effective as it used to be with Google devaluing many directories in the past has made it hard for directory owners earn, despite this fact doing directory submissions is still worth it. In this article ill discuss a few tips on how to improve your chances of getting your submission approved.
When doing directory submissions it’s a good idea to get a list of variations that you want to use for your title, and description. The more variations you have the better, when making a title it is important not to use short titles like “Dog Food”. Try to come up with a descriptive but short title as these are more likely to be approved. When using title’s for your submission’s its best not to use title’s that do not relate to your homepage since most likely you will be submitting your homepage and not inner pages.
For your description that you want to use ensure that the description is at least 2 sentences long but 3 sentences is the optimal length you want to use. In your description try to use 3rd person when describing the website as if someone else was submitting your website. Do not mention the URL within the description as many times if the editor see’s a .com within the description it is more likely to be rejected. Also when writing your descriptions simply describe your website, do not make it sound like a sales pitch this is one mistake that I see often and will most likely get rejected.
Another part of directory submissions are confirming the submission via your email, I’ve found that about 30-35% of directories will send out an confirmation but only a small amount of those actually require you to confirm by clicking a link in the email. When submitting it also will help a small amount by using an email address that is the same domain as the URL you are submitting, there are not a large amount of directories that use this guideline but by doing this you can improve your approval.
By keeping these things in mind you will have more success using directory submissions and also improve the amount of listings you will get. Keep in mind to use variations of your information to have a better effect on your SEO. Lastly keep in mind that your title’s are the biggest factor in your SEO efforts so ensure you have researched your keywords that you want to use for directory submissions.

List of Social Marketing Techniques and Benefits
There are quite a few ways now to promote your website using social marketing, and it’s becoming increasingly popular using these methods. If you decide not to go with these new methods to promote your own website you are missing out on a lot of traffic and promotion. In this article you will find various social marketing techniques and some of their benefits.
Most people when they think of social marketing or social websites, the first thing to come to mind is most likely the “giant” twitter or facebook. These sites are great to start a foundation for your social profile for your business or website. It is important to separate your personal profile from your company profile. On twitter you can announce new products or updates that you have from your website and also gives your customers easier access to find updates about your business.
The next technique is Social Bookmarking which you have probably heard I have discussed often lately if you have read my previous articles. The reason I do so is because it’s very effective for promoting the inner pages of your site and those keywords. Another reason is there are many high ranked social sites to promote these bookmarks on which receive a lot of traffic. One of the top examples of a social bookmarking site is Digg and they have a top 100 alexa rank so you can get tons of exposure on here.
Another technique that is often overlooked is the squidoo lens; if you make a lens about a product or your business as a whole it opens another door for your promotion. If you have a new website or product most likely you do not have an existing customer base, Squidoo can give you that extra boost to get the word out. Squidoo is an authority site just by having a link to your site will give your own site a boost in rankings. If you make a lens on squidoo you can also join groups there to even further promote your website.
The last marketing technique I will talk about is blog commenting, by doing blog comments you can get more backlinks. If you have the right tools you can even get higher PR backlinks if you are able to find do follow blog posts. Keep in mind when doing blog comments to write meaningful comments that relate to the blog post, afterwards you can input 1 link using html or in the form “website” box. It is important not to put many links in one comment, because you devalue the page and it is considered spamming. Depending on your niche you may be able to find blog posts that relate to your own website and this is a greater benefit to blog commenting, even if the blog post is PR 0.
These are just a few of the social marketing techniques and their benefits. There are many other ways to promote your website using social marketing if you put your mind to it or simply use Google.
